Bobby Clark | Burgundy
Scottish artist Bobby Clark creates distinctive original paintings on paper, exploring geometric composition in a muted, tonal colour palette.
‘Burgundy’ is an intense study of form and balance, in strategically restricted shades of this signature hue. Inspired, in part, by the subject matter and cinematography of The Handmaids Tale, this body of work explores themes of femininity and human resilience.
After studying fashion and textiles in the UK, Bobby Clark relocated to Melbourne seven years ago, where she now works from a home studio. Her work has gathered an immense audience in recent years, and was included as part of Solange Knowles' ‘An Ode To’ exhibition at The Guggenheim in New York in May, 2017.
