Gemma Leslie is a designer and artist from Melbourne, currently based in Brisbane. 'Time Up North' is a collection of vibrant paintings that capture the artist's past summer, spen in her new subtropical surroundings.


'This is our Time Up North, our home, and what it looked like in the summer of 2022. The sun, the sea, the sand, hibiscus hanging over our fence, bananas, cut mango, palm trees, rusty roofs, faded paint on our weatherboard house, the rain on our tin roof, hot afternoons, the neighbour’s pool, the sound of cicadas at sunset and cool breezes at midnight'
